Continued Food Support & Great Spokesman Article

At the end of January, Nina Culver from The Spokesman-Review wrote a great article introducing Millwood Impact. She just wrote another phenomenal article with an update on how Millwood Impact has been adapting during these COVID times and adjusting many of our programs to continue to fulfill our mission.

The article references many things, one of which is the Bite2Go program we have been doing this Spring and helping support West Valley High School, Centennial Middle School and with Second Harvest students. There are a total of 62 students who are enrolled in the Bite2Go weekend food service between those three schools, which is provided by Second Harvest. I realized that the Bite2Go program stops early June for the summer, so I was able to write and receive a $5,000 Grant from the Innovia Foundation which allows us to continue this program to the end of August for these 62 families.

I again want to thank the Rayce Rudeen Foundation for providing our van — it has made all the difference in allowing us to expand our service to this community. I also want to thank West Valley H.S. and Centennial M.S., as they gave all their leftover food from their food rooms so Millwood Impact can add that to these food packs this summer.

Thank you to everyone who supports Millwood Impact on every level and please contact us with any questions or if you are interested in helping out send us an email.
